Description of the unauthorized misuse of "Sumitomo Forestry Dalian" for sales practices

Our company found that there have been some unauthorized names of "Sumitomo", "Sumitomo Forestry Group", "Sumitomo Forestry (Dalian) trade" in the online and offline market without permission currently, which interfering with the judgment of general consumers, and also have a series of inappropriate publicity behavior.

We hereby clarify our stand:

1. About Sumitomo:

Our full name is Sumitomo Forestry (Dalian) LTD., which is a 100% holding subsidiary of Sumitomo Forestry Co., LTD in China. The actual organizational structure of the company does not exist【Sumitomo Group】. We believe that the appearance of misunderstandings such as Sumitomo Forestry is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Group is completely a reflection of a lack of understanding of 【Sumitomo】, 【Sumitomo Forestry】and【Sumitomo Group】.

2. About the misuse of Sumitomo trademarks

On August 16, 2024, together with four Sumitomo Forestry affiliated company.

Vina Eco Board Co., Ltd	-Abbreviation VECO, located in Vietnam. A particleboard factory which shareholding by Sumitomo Forestry Japan 60%, Sumitomo Forestry Singapore 40%
PT. Kutai Timber Indonesia	-Abbreviation KTI, located in Indonesia，A particleboard factory which shareholding by Sumitomo Forestry Japan is 99%,
PT. Rimba Partikel Indonesia	-Abbreviation RPI, located in Indonesia，A particleboard factory which shareholding by Sumitomo Forestry Japan is 50%,
Sumitomo Forestry Vietnam Co., Ltd	-Abbreviation SFV, is a trade company located in Vietnam.

Any misuse of "Sumitomo" and "Sumitomo Forestry" is prohibited. Except above 4 companies which are allowed to express. We have a statement to explain this problem before. (The full text of the statement is as follows)

3. Particle-board Sales flow in China

At present, two factories of Sumitomo Forestry are selling PB in the Chinese market. The names of Importers, sales companies and products are shown in the following table:

We would like to emphasize again that

・Our company is an Importer of board, not a manufacturer, so Sumitomo boards or Sumitomo MFC boards are confusing consumers' perceptions, and we strongly protest and ask for delete immediately.

4. About some non-compliant sales pitches

At present, five affiliates of Sumitomo Forestry are being regularly monitored through third parties for some non-compliance publicity:
· Such as, Sumitomo... Official operations center etc. app user name
· Such as, Sumitomo Forestry... Sole authorization/national general agent /, and so on
· Such as, Sumitomo Forestry (Dalian) Commerce... app user name/banners/outdoor advertising/T-shirts and other peripheral products

Etc. (including but not limited to the examples above)

We will curb, advise, and warn those who made the faulty advertisements. We reserve the right to take legal action against those who fail to make corrections. We will blacklist and terminate cooperation with them.
